The Bistrot « le Potager » is open every day at the Château de Cîteaux in the heart of Meursault.
As of spring 2012, concurrent with the opening the chateau as a hotel, Le Potager is open to the public. Equally imbued with history, this more casual, cozy alternate dining area occupies the former kitchens of the estate.
With Nature’s chef Laurent Couturier orchestrating the kitchen, you will delect in delicacies that evolve with the season and highlight the produce of Burgundy’s famed terroir. Taste the typical,traditional Burgundian dishes that simmer slowly on the antique “potager” (iron stove).
Decor-wise the bistrot has kept the warm country-style ambience of yesteryear with old floor tiles and wooden tables, not to mention the crackling fire in front of which you are invited to taste some of the best wines of the region.
Converse, meet, exchange in all conviviality with locals straight from the terroir who are generally happy to share their knowledge and passion for their region.
